African Economic Empowerment Wealth Fund (AEEWF)

The African Economic Empowerment Wealth Fund (AEEWF) is a transformative pan-African institution dedicated to eradicating poverty and fostering inclusive prosperity across the continent. Founded on the belief that Africa’s wealth must be equitably shared to uplift communities, we design and implement economic systems that empower individuals, businesses, and nations to thrive. Headquartered in Harare, Zimbabwe—a hub of empowerment ideology—we operate across all 54 African nations, partnering with governments, global institutions, and grassroots organizations to turn vision into action.

Our Philosophy

The i-Focus Framework

Guided by the i-Focus philosophy, we align our work with Africa’s most pressing needs and global sustainability standards:

  • I – Inspired by Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want

  • F – Faith in Africa’s people, diversity, and potential

  • O – Opportunities aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

  • C – Constructing a people-centered economic culture

  • U – Unity as the foundation of progress

  • S – Success measured by poverty eradication and shared wealth

This framework drives us to address systemic challenges like unemployment, energy poverty, and infrastructure gaps through locally rooted, globally supported solutions.

Our Work

Strategic Focus Areas

We target sectors with high-impact potential to unlock Africa’s latent wealth:

  1. Financial Inclusion

    • Expanding access to banking, microloans, and investment platforms for Africa’s unbanked millions.

  2. Sustainable Energy

    • Delivering renewable energy projects (solar, wind, bioenergy) to power homes, businesses, and industries.

  3. Herbal Medicine & Agriculture

    • Leveraging Africa’s arable land to build processing plants for herbal medicines and sustainable agribusiness.

  4. Infrastructure Development

    • Constructing roads, housing, and industrial hubs to connect communities and stimulate trade.

  5. Economic Integration

    • Advocating for policies that strengthen the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and regional collaboration.
